At first glance you would think of the other recent article about the man who got a DUI charge when he only was sitting in his car warming up with the automatic starter and the key not in the ignition. But I'd say that this actually is a reasonable application of the law.

State law prohibits the operation of any kind of motorized vehicle, excluding wheelchairs and mobility scooters, while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the State Highway Patrol.
Sounds good to me.

lol, that is just funny.

It is pretty obvious that according to the law he got what he deserved, but part of me feels their should be a lesser crime when you are only endangering yourself. I know that you can also get a DUI for riding a bicycle while drunk, not really sure if that seems fair..
