ORLANDO, Fla. – Officials said at least eight people were hurt in a shooting at a downtown office building Friday and a gunman was on the loose.
People streamed out of the high-rise building around lunchtime and some told local television stations they had barricaded themselves inside their offices
Just what is the world coming to?
Edit: 1 Fatality, 5 injured... The shooter surrendered

These events are indeed tragic, and I hope I don't offend anyone by saying so, but a year ago I predicted we would see many more of them. I'm glad we have not.

I'm so *tired* of seeing these gun related horror stories on the news! I hate guns! Seriously! If a crazed knife-wielding lunatic was in any of these other situations, it wouldn't escalate to this level. Or at least, you'd have a better chance at defending yourself against that than a whacko bum-rushing you with a semi-automatic. Argh
