He's an arrogant idiot, who can't sing, and I can't for the life of me understand why people buy his music.

I'm not a music fan of Taylor Swift, but for a young girl she certainly has her head on straight, and is one smart young cookie. (I watched an interview and story on her on 60 minutes, or Dateline). Her tour sold out. And she controls all her business decisions. Kudos to her!

You've gotta take the station with a grain of salt. It is what it is. They've never really pushed artsy bands and likely never will.
I don't expect them to go very far, but there was a day (as in, mid90s, even) when you could hear a wide swath of music...

of course, there is the gripe about there being little music on there now, anyway...but even with that aside...there was YoMTV Raps, 120 mins, headbangers' ball, top 10, etc...

and yeah, you could see some 'artsy' or at least different bands...

we would never hear of talking heads today...or nirvana, for that matter. the list could go on and on...

Oh sure compare her to a list of your favorites, or at least most respected, and she falls short. But compare her to Miley Cirus and her other contemporaries and I'm very happy to listen to Taylor Swift.

I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, nor am I a Beyonce fan.

But if you watch both videos, the Swift video was a better video.

The Beyonce one was just her dancing (she's a great dancer) and very bad lip-syncing.

The Swift video told the story of the song.

Kayne West was just trying to get in to Beyonce's pants.
